His Majesty has sent a letter to the Lords-Lieu tenants, Lord-Mayors, and Lord Provosts, emphasising that he is anxious ''that every effort should be made to support Sir Douglas Haio-'s appeal on behalf of unemployed exservice men, requesting the recipient to co-operate, whole-heartedly to efface what might bo regarded, as a reflection on the fair name of our nation.
