After discussion it was utmost unanimously decided to close on .Monday, Tuesday, Wednesday, and i«'nday at o.cSU p.m., and at 12 noon 011 Thursday.

A discussion followed on the cnbjeet of subscriptions to testimonials,- trophies. etc., and it was decided that in viie matter of public testimonials all requests should be referred to the Uasooiaticii to be dealt with, and tliat vaeh member should contribute one pound to a testimonial iund. T'lio chairman expressed the opinion that better telephone faoilities were desirable. In other towns of similar size the bureaux were opened at a stated hour 011 Sundays and holidays. This matter was well discussed, and on the motion of Mr W. F. Evan,si, it was decided that application be made for. a continuous service, and also that the attention of the member for the district be drawn to the matter. Another matter discussed was the time for -closing the- mails, the general opinion being that nearly all the mails were at present closed earlier than was i.ecessarv, to the inconTenience of the public. It was finally' agred that the postmaster be asked to arrange for the closing of all mails, including the rural delivery, fifteen minutes before being despatched. A vote of thanks to the chair terminated the meeting.
