SPECIAL STOCK SALE.

AT-ST. ANDREWS

The N. M. and A. Co., in conjunction with Messrs Pyne, - Gould, Guinness, Ltd., held a special sale of fat stock in file St.' Andrews yards yesterday, for Air Percy A. Ehvorthy, Gordon-s V&jley. There was a large attendance, ami although bidding was not very spirited the whole yarding was cleared at the following prices:— Sheep.—34o fat wethers 49s Gd, 1139 475, 643 41s 3d. 429 41s 6d. Cattle.—Fat steers: 8 at £29 os, 8 at £2B 10s, S at £26 Ids, 8 at £26 17s 6d, Bat £25 los, 8 at £2l, 7 at £2O, 1 heifer £l4 los, 3 steers £27, 6 heifers at £l9 os, 4 cows at £l6 15s, 1 at £8 15s. MART REPORT. Messrs ■Morton and- Pearson report as follows:—Business, with fruit is about the same. On Saturday a shipment of poorman oranges, sweet oranges and lemons arrived ex Te Anau, and met with a good demand. Cooking apples are very plentiful', and anything but good stuff is hard to quit. Island oranges and bananas are expected this week. Prices realised during the week run as under:—

Apples.—Delicious 16s, Stunners 10s Gd, Lord Wolseley 6s to 7s 6d, Rymers 7s to 7s 6d, Monroe's 7s to 7s 6d, others os 6d to 7s per case; 'Frisco lemons 47s 6d, South Australians 17s Gd per case, Auckland-grown sweet oranges 17s to 17s 6d, Poormans 22s 6d to 23s Gd per case.

Vegetables—Cauliflowers to 6s per dozen, lis to 12s per sack. Rame to Is, 4d per lb. Produce —.Potatoes: Table 7s. to 9s, pig 2s to 3s; swedes 4s. carrots to Bs, parsnips Ss- 6d, all at per s,'k; or ions 14s to los per cental. Chan:' £lO per ton. sacks in. Pig T :.eal EOs per bog.
