MR. HUGHES TO ATTEND. Bv Electric Telegraph—Copyright. Austral. /«. CuUib Assn. MELBOURNE, August 33. Mr Hughes'announced that tho Commonwealth will be represented at the League of Nations at Geneva-. The Cabinet unanimously asked Mr Hughes to go.
Speaking at Bendigo, Mr Hughes referred to the British situation, stating that the hour is dark with menace to Australia. He intimated that a defence policy was contemplated.
