PERSONAL
The Hon. Mark Cohen, M.L.C., passed through Timaru on the first express from the north, on Saturday. Judge H. B. Borst, of New York, Grand Sire of the Sovereign Grand Lodge of Oddfellows, and Mrs Borst, passed through Timarui on Saturday by the first express from the north. Inspector Hastie returned to Timaru by the second express on Saturday from Christclrurch.
Mr F. D. Mosley, S.M. at Gere, who has received notice of liis transfer "ft> Timaru, was met by the Court officers and police and presented with a handsome travelling rug and case- of pipes, with expressions of esteem and 1 egret that he -was leaving the district. Mr Mosley thanked them for their gifts and good wishes and for the support they had given him in administering justice in tlio district,
