HOCKEY
SOUTH CANTERBURY ASSOCIATION, A meeting of the Management Committee was held last night. Present— Messsrs.P. Clark (chairman), F. Dean, D. Oram, G. Leslie, V. Heal, R. Bennett. and E. Raws torn (secretary). It was decided to postpone all competition games on Thursday, when a practice game only frill be held, to give the representative team an opportunity to have a game together before going south. A combined team froim the Timaru and Geraldine clubs will play the "reps" on the Park Grounds at 2.15 p.m. sharp, and all selected players are requested to make an effort to be present. A slight alteration has been made in the South Canterbury team,, Avison replaces Patterson in the backs and Smaill has been selected as goalkeeper.
