FAB3SWELL TO MA_D TEACHER. TlieiYliliord School was the scene i.f a very pleasant little ceremonv on IVilast, when the scholars, n tested "by large numbers •oi parents' brought to a close. Mr Todd's period of mastership of the school bv a concert and presentation. / The scholars, assisted by io me inends, had prepared a short musical programme. Instrumental selections were given by Mrs Bodgers, and the Misses Ella and Mamie McCullv: souks by the Misses Isa Brown, Margaret Mncaulny, Peggy McMillan, and Margaret Gason. Accompaniments wore played by the Misses Elsie Brown, J.-iazie Macaulay. and Lottie Gason Miss Gartwright, assistant mistress in a, very appropriate manner, referred to the 7)leasant relationship that had always existed, between pupils and teachers while Mr Todd had charge of J' 1 * school. "While regretting Mr 1 odd s departure, they were pleased he was going to a better school 'Mamie McCully, who in a neat little. speech voiced the children's regret at losing Mr Todd, who had always taken the keenest interest in their "welfare !she then presented Mr and Mrs Todd ■HWi a handsome seagrass chair In responding. Mr Todd referred to Ulwi £ e l -,°i f the,v * choo] ,ife nlld urged the children to aim at beine good useful citizens. He thanked thorn Ten- sincerely on behalf of Mrs Todd and himself, not onlv for their bcautitul presents, but .Mso for many kindnew? done himself and family * Mrs Gason said that thev ul= o dosired to show their good feeling to tlio two Misses Todd, and presented each with a handsome <. n )d bmoeh. 3lias I'recla lodd suitably 1 hanked the donors. Afternoon inn was then served, with plenty of sweets, and an hour or so* spent in music and conversation, all fishing Mr and Mrs Todd good-luck in their jiasr laoiiio.
