to me. ani> MRfi: moir • On Friday evening last in the Kensington Methodist Qiu'rch, the members of the choir, the Sunday school teachers, the Ladies' Sewing Guild, and other friends gave a farewell social to Mr and- Mrs S. Moir and family. A very' pleasant time was spent with various social games till about 10' p.m., when an appetising supper was served by the ladies. After supper Rev. J Dennis spoke of the valuable assistance rendered by Mrs Moir, as president of the Ladies' Guild, and by Miss Moir, as a Sunday school teacher-and member, of the cho-ir. On behalf of th 8 Ladies' Guild he had much pleasure in asking Mrs Moir to accept as a slight token of their esteem, a coppsr kettle and tray. An apology was received from Mr A. G. Foster (choirmaster and' secretary of the Sunday school) in which he expressed his regret at Miss Moir's departure, and thanked her for -willing help given in both of these branches of the church's 'work. Mr Thomas presented to Miss Moir, a handsomely-bound volume of Shakespeare's works and an autograph book, asking her to accept these with the good wishes of choir and Sunday school. . Mr H H. Brown also voiced the regret felt at the removal of Mr and Mrs Moir and family, and thanked them for services rendered to the church.
