A smad consignment of Otago Central peaches arrived during the week, but did 1 nolo meet with too gwevj a demand on account of ihe lateness of the season. The following pi'io-s were realised:— Apples. —Choice desert 1 10s to 12s 6d per case; cookers, S)s to lis; locals, 7s to 9s. Pears —Winter Coles, 6s to 7s per ha'f case; cockers 8s to 10s per case. Peaches —4d per lb. .Bananas —- 16s to 19s per case. Island oranges—]9k to 225. Potatoes —lis to 15s per sack. Onions —to 10s 6d per cental. Oat ishenf chaff 4s 9d to 5s 3d, sacks extra. Poultry.—Hens 3s 9d to 5s 3d; roosters 4s 9d t)oj 7s per pair. Good table: birds were in strong d'emanti'. Crates forwarded tin application.
