APPENDICITIS
ENAMELWARE A DANGER. Per Press Association. WELLINGTON, Mav 24. Dr Collins states that on "taking charge of a camp containing 250 to 280 men, he found that there had been nineteen cases of appendicitis, each involving an operation. On investigation s lie found enamel ware, much chipped. Another case developed, and enamel grit was found in the appendix. The ware was discarded, and since then no cases had occurred. He also found a number suffering from diminished indigestion. The doctor considers it safe to say that both appendicitis and malignant disease of the digestive organs have become more frequent since the introduction of enamel .ware.
