A SOUTHIiUUX SOCIAL. | On Friday evening the SouthburnS * residents tendered ;i farewell social to{ -Mr and Mrs Thomas Kinross who, linv-| ilig sold their farm, are about to take' wp their residence in Timaru. After a very enjoyable programme of I music had been rendered by members of the Evans, Chamberlain, and Parry• families, Mr Ward, in - making a preI soiitation of a parting memento from I "the residents of the district to the KUests of the evening, expressed regret lat the removal ot such good neighbours, but also satisfaction that they were at least not going far away. Mr and Mrs Kinross had been his near neighbours for about nineteen years, and he had always found • them most obliging -(and agreeable.
