AT THE GRAND;

ihe two popular Metro stars, Francis A. Bushman and Beverley Bayne will again make their appearance at the Grand .theatre tc-nignt, this time in an exciting society detective story entitled "Under Suspicion," in which a clever monkey also plays a prominent part. Garry Simpson (Francs Busilman) a young millionaire is present at a financial evening given by Mrs Alice Woolworth at her home. While there he meets Virginia Blake, a reporter on the "Sentinel." Suddenly there is a commotion. Burglars have entered the boudoir of Mrs Woolworth while the party was in progress and rifled her jewel case. Her pet monkey haa leaped upon ,one of the men and has snatched a button off his coat. Virginia Blake takes the button as a clue in discovering the culprit. Garry also takes a hand, he secures a position also on the "Sentinel" as reporter, and moves to a poorer section of the city. Virginia Blake suspects Garry, and secretly gans admittance to his home. After a careful search she discovers the stolen jewels hidden in the room. Still she is puzzled, how could he have committed the robbery, as he was in their company all the time? Yet the jewels were found in hTs home. Suddenly the door op*ns and a man enters wearing a coat with one button .missing. Virginia compares the button found in the monkey's paw, and it matches" the coat". The mystery is solved. The man is Garry's ,valot who turns out to be the leader of a gang of society crooks, the coat he" wore on the night' of the robbery belonged to Garry Simpson. An elaborate charity ball is one of the noteworthy features in "Under Suspicion." Over a hundred couples in evening clothes danced in'these fashionable scenes, the orchestra was stationed in front of a golden, shell-shaped sounding board, festooned with electric lights. It is at this charity ball that the great robbery of the Woolworth diamonds is enacted, with such gripping realism. Supporting finis include "Betty's Big Adventure," a clever Christie comedy.
