WORKERS TO RESUME. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assa.- ' - LONDON, August 23. At a mass meeting: of 'bus conductresses the chairman announced a hitch in the negotiations. The meeting adjourned after informally negativing a proposal to resume work pending an award. The traffic strikers' meeting was so packed that many girls fainted. It appears that the officials of the two unions are at loggerheads. Subse- " quently a stormy meeting decided to resume work on Friday. . ' "
