There was a good demand for dry store sheep, but ewes in lamb were not sought after, in view of the fact that those which haw been in ttio snow-bound districts may not lamb well. Fat sheep of all classes sold well, eraaiers taking unfinished wethers, and thus helping to keep the market linn. Fat cattle showed a sharp rise in prices on account of short supply. There was a full demand for store cattle, and nies as usual sold well. Store sheep.—Ewes, 2 and 4-tootli to 88s, 4 and 6-tooth 18s to 435, 6 and l-tooih 30s; wethers, 4 and 6-tooth 9Hh to 3Ss 7d; ewe lioceets 28s 6d to 32s 3d, mixed sex hoggets 14s to 265, wether hoggets 17s 6(1 to 26s 9d.
