-The Coal Controller announces that the surface "workers at certain Yorkshire collieries threaten to strike, primarily over disputed hours. Underground workers have also given notice, largo numbers aro affected, and a great part- of the Yorkshire collieries is likely -to be idle tc-niorrow. The Controller adds that he-has been trying to tottle the dispute by arbitration, which the miners' leaders refuse. The Controller appealed to the men to reconsider the matter, but ho regrets that THE GALLIPOLI STAR. - Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. LONDON, August 20. London now. They include throe hundred tube conductresses.
