-The Coal Controller announces that the surface "workers at certain Yorkshire collieries threaten to strike, primarily over disputed hours. Underground workers have also given notice, largo numbers aro affected, and a great part- of the Yorkshire collieries is likely -to be idle tc-niorrow. The Controller adds that he-has been trying to tottle the dispute by arbitration, which the miners' leaders refuse.
