MEETING OF COMMITTEE. . /A .special meeting" of .this committee was, held on Mondav.evcn.n3, Mr P. Clark presiding. ~ A . lcltor received from the Second liivision League requested-the Association to meet the local branch of the League to have a friendly talk over matters of mutual interest. After ;i, discussion :t was decided that a reply ho >onl' >i!j.ing that i>n> ■executive of the Association would meet the executive of the League on Monday next, and requesting information as to the proposals to bo brought forward for discussion. The secretary st:v:,ed the financial results of the two performances by the Black-Yvhite Kcviui/- Players in' Tin:uru : —First performance (complete statement) receipts £132 15s. expenditure- 'including proportion of cost of scenery) £34 17s Gd, net profit £97 17s S'J: second performance (rough statement", receipts £73 os 6d. expenditure £2l 12s 6d, net profit £sl 13s; "total M-ofifc on two performances £149 10s &1. Mr Yonng moved that £75 be donated io Christmas Parcels Fund, as halt the profits of the two p?rforman:es, seconded by Mr F. Dunn, and carlied unanimously. Several members wrote regarding i iost badges, and '.•equcsting that new J cups be issued. Much discussion arose on this ques-! (ion, several members being of opinion 1 '.hat so many badges were being lose that rliero was a probability of them icing used by peop's who were not roturncd soldiers. It was pointed out that there is ft heavy penalty for anyone found wearing or retaining returned soldiers' badges, sc strict being the law that even relatives of deceased members, although allowed to ictain badges, are. not allowed to wear them. The secretary reported that .1 musical evening and dance had been arranged for Wednesday, July 24th. in the Soldiers' Institute.' Information being received that tli3 Y.M.CA. desired :>., 2 assistance of the Association at the T.maru Show, it was decided t<Q do everything possible to assist them.
