PALESTINE.
ENEMY "ATTACKS DEFEATED. Australian and N.Z. Cable Assn. ' : V . LONDON July 15. A Palestine report states that enemy attacks developed on Saturday and Sunday against our positions covering the passages of the Jordan, and on the Abu Telluel ridges northwards of Jericho. The eneniv penetrated our position about;; Abu Telluel. The Australians and New Zealanders counterattacking entirely restored the position and took 400 prisoners. Indian cavalry dispersed the enemy eastward of the Jordan. The total prisoners number 510, of which 350 are Germans.
