The rumoured traSvling operations of the Marino Department oil the mouth of the AVaitaki for salmon are being awaited with interest by anglers, who are somewhat sceptical , ■ to the possibility of their suoaess. The trawls will bo so full of other and worthless fish, that they will require *o be shot very frequently if any number of salmon are to bo taken. If | : ouvhai, red cod, etc., were vendible oomraodrUes the enterprise would prove a great financial success.
