Handyside, Dublin Fusil'ers, of Wanganui, has been killed in action. Mrs W. H. Hooper, Shaw Street, Temuka, received word on Monday that her son, Corporal W. W. Hooper, 13 expected back iii New Zealand shortly. Corporal Hooper left with the 4Ui Reinforcements. Mrs E. Lnrken sen., Temuka, received a cable last week that her son, Private J. H. Pratley, had been transferred to the Convalescent Depot, Hornclnireh, on December IS. Miss Harrison, The Orchard, Temuka, has received word that her brotlior, l*rivate A. J. Harrison, was wounded in France on December 25tli. Private Harrison loft with tho 27tli Reinforcements.

Mrs K. M. Johnson, Lower Waitolii, received a cable last week stating "that her son. Private V. "R.. Johnson, was admitted to tho Military Hospital, Bethnal Green, on December 23. Sergeant Oswald James Smith, died of wounds on December 6th, of Abbotsford. Dunedin, was for two years a pupil teacher at) Waimataitai school.
