THE GRAND"Dulcie's Adventure" again drew an audience of goodly dimensions to the Grand last night, and the popular Miss Mint<?r delighted the audience with her pretty and clever acting. The adventure is a comprehensive one and includes items which deSghts both children and adults. The children at today's maitinee will find the picture much more attractive than the usual run of "stars." But while they will ' enjoy it their enthusiasm wall know no i bound's when they see the latest Fox comedy screened. In this, motor cars . have a sensational chase through water, into drawing rooms, over balconies etc, finally ending up by depositing their , occupants over a precipice. Then there is also a. delightful scenic. MONDAY'S ATTRACTION. "The Iron Woman," which is to bo screened at the popular Grand oil Monday, introduces to the Metro, pro- I gramme Nance O'Neil, one of the formost dramatic artists of this genei-<v , tion. As a tragedienne, Miss O'Neil ranks very high, but she has also the versatility which enables her to pourtray all phases of human emotion. In Sarah Maitland ("the Iron Woman") she has a part which will live lone in the minds of those who see it. Margaret Deland, author of "The Awakening of Helena Ritchie" and "Old Chester," is also the creator of "The Iron Woman." The picturisation closely follows the book, which is one of the strongest novels of the pasx. decade. Miss O'Neil has the support of Alfred Hickman, who is well known to Timaru picturegoers, and "The Iron_ Woman" forms one iof the best offerings yet presented by Metro.

PICTURES AM) VAUDEVILLE. The Theatre Royal was again well attended last night for the second screening of the last chapter of "Gloria's Romance," aud the wonderful five-part Triangle play "The Weaker Bex." There was also screened a first class English Gazette of merit. The concluding chapter of "Gloria's Romance" brings the serial to a fitting closs. The leading picture was a splendid production, and featured three of th© Triangle Company's best artists namely Louise Glaum (the screen vamnire), Dorothy Dal ton, and Charles Ray." The last named nearly always pla.ys a striking part and his part last night was certainly striking. There is a good story running throughout it. Rose and Dell the clever pair of trick ovele riders and dancers rendered another splendid _ performance. greatly pleasing all. This clever couple will appear finally at 2.30 sharp to-day, after which they proceed to Dunodin. The turn will appeal to the juveniles, especially the trick cycling. The complete fihn programme, together with extra pictures will also be screened. On Monday evening Greater Vitagraph's 6 reel feature "The Combat", starring Amta Stewart will he shown and Murfavne, the great Ainerioan xylophone player will make his first ampearance here.
