MR GEORGE P. DONNELLY.

NAPIER, Auguslt 9. lhe death is announced of Mr George Prior Donnelly, a pioneer aind sportsman, aged 70 years. Mi- Donnelly was a native ctf Brittis, County Tipperary, son of a landed! proprietor there. He arrived in the Dominion in 1863 and settled in Hawke's in 18C7. Ho rnarried a Maori, Princess Airini, and became a large land owner and was a prominent member of several local bodies. His last public ado was the settlement of twenty-four returned soldiers on one of his estates at Kaiwaka. seventeen miles north of Napier lhe last surviving member of his family is Mrs Perry, who is his only daughter.
