MAIL NOTICES.

At the Chief Pqsfc Office, Timaru, subject to any necessary alterations, mails will close as under: — For offices in North Island daily. 1 p.m. For Temuka, Geraldine, Ashburton and Christehurch daily at 6 a.m., and 1 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. For Waimate and Oamaru and intermediate offices 6 a.m. and 3 p.m. For Dunedin and Invercargill at 3 p.m. For Fairlie, Pleasant Point. Gave, and Albury on Tuesday, Thursday and t*avi;rd2y at 6 a.m., and 3.15 p.m. daily. Registered letter-mails close one hour, and and parcel mails close 45 minutes; earlier than ordinary letter mails. Mails for United Kingdom and Continent, of Eurone, South Africa, Ceylon. India, China. Japan,' Straits Settlements and Egypt, also parcels and ir-tters for Expeditionary Forces will he desoatebed from time to time by best ro"te without specinl notification."
