MAIL NOTICES.

At the Chief Post Office, Timaru, subject to any necessary alterations, inails wi'l closo as under: — For offices in North Island daily, 1 p.m. For Temuka, Geraldine, Ashburton and Christchurch daily at 6 a.m., and 1 p.m. and 3.30 p.m. For Waimate_ and Oamaru and intermediate offices 6 a.m. md 3pm For Dunedin and Invercargill at 8 p.m. For Fairlie, Pleasant Point-, Care, and Albury on Tuesday, Thursday and Saturday at 6 a.m., and 3.15 p.m. daily. Registered letter mails close one hour, and newspapers and parcel mails close 45 minutes earlier than ordinary letter mails. Mails for United Kingdom and Continent. of_ Europe, South Africa, Ceylon, India, China, Japan, Straits Settlements and Egypt, also parcel and letters for Expeditionary Forces will be despatched from time to time by best route, without special' notification.
