SECOND DIVISION
To the Editor of the . "Tunam" Herald.": Sir,—My attention \\ a.s drawii' to an advertisement in to-day's, issue... convening a, meeting of. the members of the Second Division in Temuka. They do not propose to allow the : <: ove.r-age" men'to interfere --.with their airfa.ii\s.. I think this, procedure is ; quite correct and proper. Many Second Divisionists take exception to the composition of tho Timaru Execuive. The "over-age" xnen on. the Timaru Second Division League should take the lunt and resign, at least, from the executive. The ChristchuTch League were very firm in preventing interference of any kind, sis they consider that it is only natural that private interests and feelings must be uppermost in guiding "river-age" men to keep down pensions and wages to soldiers. "Over-age" men will have to bear the tax and pay tho money. 1 strongly -urge 1 the Tima.m Lea/rue to at least take sWw t« renmvo all persons from their Executive who are against reasonable increa.sed pay and increased pensions. Sixpence or bno shilling x>er clay, ais some might- suggest, i« out- of the question; 12s at least must be paid. —I am, etc., SECONi) DIVISION.
