TIMARU SOAP WORKS.
OPENED THIS WEEK. The Sol Vet Manufacturing Company iiave commenced the soap manufacturing part of their business in their | Waimataitai Laboratory. The plant i was installed last week, and commenced operations on Wednesday, and for a trial run turned out four boxes of the best English , bar soap" in twenty minutes. The Company will place the soap on the market immediately, and in a few days it will be procurable at all stores. The. sample shown yesterday is almost pure white, in a so'id bar, some inch and a half longer and a quarter of an inch wider than tho ordinary bar soap.-'. It will be placed on the market at Is a bar, twopence less than an. ordinary, imported bar. Jhe samplo is an excellent one, is nongreasy, lirm and a thorough ■ cleanser It is claimed that it will go 30 per cent further than the imported article, and this means a further saving to the user. The company hope that when once on the market their "English Bar Soap," as their product will" "be called /Will command a ready sale, altoo-ether i apart from tho fact that it marks tho beginning of another local industry. ... |
