STOCK SALES.

WASHDYKE YARDS. A special sale was held at these yards yesterday, of the annual draft of fat sheep and cattle from the estate of Mr R. H. Rhodes, Bluecliffs. The sale was conducted by the Canterbury Farmers' Association, in conjunction with the National Mortgage Co. Buyers were present from North Canterbury and Oamaru, as well as the local firms. Bidding was brisk, and ovary line of cattlto was sold under the hammer, high prices being obtained. Local firms secured a large share of the entry. In the. cattle pens 46 fat steers and heifers were, yarded, and the priraest pen realised the splendid figure of £lB 10s. The whole entry averaged over £l4 per head.
