EXCITEMENT RAN HIGH in the streets of New Yox-k city recentlv' at the sight of a little "Maxwell" c ? 5 towing a huge coai waeeon loaded with five tons of coal. The car was observed to stop at fre quern, intervals and then , start again, the object of the driver beine to show that the re-start could be made without the slightest shock or jerk to the automobile. Several gradients were taken smoothly during this undeniably good test, which the Maxwell authorities regarded as unparalleled in the records of motor car efficiency IX ORDER TO PROVE THE TRUTH of this story, Mr J.
