OTAGO V. SOUTH CANTERBURY. TO-MORROW'S REP. MATCH. The touring Otago team play their first match at Timaru Caledonian Grounds to-morrow afternoon, when a brilliant exhibition of Rugby is almost certain. 'The visitors are stronglv lepresented. and among tho crack players are "AH Blacks" Irvine, Graham, and Williams, fresh from the victorious Australian tour, Paterson. and other New Zealand representatives. The \isitors' forwards, led by this famous quartette, are a warm proposition, but even if they should prove superior to the local vanguard, the South Canterbury second line of dpfeneo—and attack—has to be reckoned with, and should balance any superiority in the Bine forwards. The Otago team will arrive by the second express to-day. and will be onartered at the Empire Hotel. In th" evening they will be the iiuests of Fullers' niaiiacomcnt at the Theatre Royal. The two vacancies in ihe South Canterbury hack division have not be-on definitely filled, but there is a strong probabiliiv that two football soldiers will on Thursday play their last game in tbe Green and Black before leaving for Europe.
