Sir Stephen was opening the window of bis hotel when he overbalanced and fell fifty feet to the pavement. [Sir Stephen Wilson Fnmess, who was bom in 1572, was one of the principals in the firm of Fnrness, Withy and Co., shjpowners. Marconi, by means of a new con- ' trolling apparatus, has discovered a high-power wireless station secretly installed in the headquarters of an influential foreign religious order in Rome, capable of transmitting and receiving radiograms from tho world's principal long-distance stations.
