The chairman sa:d that Mr Bnssett and himseit' had inte;v.ewed the president of the Timaru A. and P. Associaton and liad asked if the Association would guarantee J-7 10s towards the cost of the classes this season. The A. and P. Ass-c.atiniL had not held a meeting to discuss the. matter, but the president- said he would undertake to guarantee £5. 'The Canterbury Sheepowners' L"n:on had generously offered to £'2o towards the class again tin's ye^ir, and t'iie Chr.'stelturch MeatCompany, with equal generosity olfered to lend the r Subthtic-:d slaughterhouse in which to carry on the Timaru class. ilr Smart, director of the Tennika Teelmienl Classes, forwarded a balance sheet showing how tlie class worked out there last year. The figures both tor tlie Timaru and Tennika classes were considered very satisfactory. Mr Grant said tlie Asscc'atiou could net legally make a cln.rgj for shearing as they proposed to do, hut they ceu'd let it be understood that tii<\v cou'.d expect a donation from all farmers whose siiecp were shorn. It was dee dec! to do th s, and Mr Gpuit was thanked for attending the meeting.
