METHODIST CONFERENCE.

■ DUNEDIN, March 5. At the Methodist Conference to-day the Rev. W. Slade was appointed official! representative of the Methodist church to various Method:st Conferences in Great Britain, and the Rev. Griffith was; associated with Mr Slade as representative to the English Wesleyan Conference and was given special commendatory tetters.

Home Mission affairs were introduced by Mr Vea.le (Treasurer). The income for the fund for 1913 was £5861. The capital account stands at £6288, and the average interest earned was 5% per cent. Estimates for 1914 showed income £5982, expenditure £5923. Assessments were accepted -and grants made on the basis of these estimates. An unofficial intimation was received of a bequest by Mr Cdllison of Hastings, of £IOOO to various purposes of the cluirch.

It was resolved that an effort be made to secure from the Victorian conference a visit to New Zealand from the Rev. Valmont Trigge in 1915.
