Sir, Mrs and Miss Sinclair, of Wilson Street, are go Jig Home for a trip, sailinig early in April, via Sydney. Mr John Blakeney, editor of the Sydney "Freeman's Journal," died last week. For 30 years he was connected with the "Freeman's oournal," and was editor for tne past 10 or 12 years.
Messrs A. J. and John Manchester, and Miss Manchester, left Waimate oa Wednesday, on a trip to the Old Country.
Mr J. A. Connell, formerly editor of the "Timaru Post,' was in Timaru yesterday, and went north by the second express.
A Press Association message froni Adelaide announces the early marriage of Dr Mawson, the Antarctic explorer, to Miss Delparit, daughter of the general manager of the broken L.. proprietary company. Dr P. A. Ardagh, who has been practising in Temuka for some months, win siiordy leave to take up practice in Christchurch.
