HURICANE AT FIJI. Press Association—By Te!.—Copyright. SUVA, Jan. 2S. A hurrieane*-passed over this group during tho last twenty-four hours. The wind here is blowing a heavy gale. Wireless reports state that the centre of tho storm is near Taviuni, travelling apparently a south-easterly direction. Ordinary communication is interrupted, and there are no further particulars. RACECOURSE FATALITY. Sydney, Jan. 23. Two horses fell at the Marenga races, and a jockey named Brown was killed, while another named Apps was critically injured.
