The National Liberals hold the balance of power. PARAGUAY AND ARGENTINE. A NEIGHBOUR'S TIFF. BUENOS AIRES, Jan. 25. Owing to Paraguay's unsatisfactory attitudo regarding compensation for outrages on Argentine ships and property, the Government is sending warships and destroyers to Paraguay. STRENUOUS ELECTION METHODS. RIO JANIERO. Jan. 26. Serious street fighting has occurred in Bahia. Several newspaper offices have been burned and looted, owing to the opposition to Dr. Seabra's candidature for tho Governorship.
