The majority of tho ruling elriefs of Northc-m India have applied to the Government for sites for houses in Delhi. The agitation against the transfer of the capita! has been revived m Calcutta. The Bengal Chamber is drafting a protest. Englishmen strenuously object to the change on the ground of expense and the ignoring of public feeling. LONDON, Jan. 21. The "Pall Llall Gazette" reports that there- is some discontent in India because 3-.000 Coronation medals were uietributed to civilians and only 5000 to soldiers.
