Mr W-llis, the now Speaker, is incensed at Mr Wade's recent statement that he interfered with votes and tho proceedings of Parliament. Ho declares that lie may have Mr Wado brought before the House and suspended for tho remainder of tho session for contempt. He refers to Mr Wado as overbearing and uncouth and predicts that his party will be routed at. the elections. Mr Perry has issued a writ claiming £IOOO damages for assault against the Speaker and the Sergeant-at-Arms.- The action is tho outcome of tie Speaker ordering the Sergeanfeai-Arms to bring Mr Parry back to the House after he' had Jeft without mating obeisance to the ohafr. THE LAND POLICY. Tleferrijig to the resignation of Mr Nielsen, Minister of. Lands, Mr MoGcwen, tho Premiei, declared that ho did not think Mr Nielsen's policy regarding tlie freehold was wrong. Tho methods by whioh people had previously obtained land in this and other countries were inequitable nnd linjest to posterity. Mr Nielsen was one of the very best Ministers.
