MOTOR CAR ACCIDENT.
MAN RUN OVER. A painful accident occurred -ai Washuyko about i o'clock yesterday afternoon when -a youujj man, Janus Houlihan, of 'iimaru, '.vas run over by a motor car _v.-ji.cli wu» b=iu;j driven out of town. The injured man had been vyalihit; along the. road behind a dray, but when opposite the Washdyke :'ellnmagery h-a stepped t'roin behind tie dray and was about to walk along the side or the road when the ino"&or came up and ran into him. Houlihan was knccked forward on his face, and besides interna! injuries (.the extent of which was not known last night) he sustained ama painful outs about the head and laceration of the muscles of the leg. Mr A. 3. _ I'ahuer, who saw the_ accident, immediately rang up tho ijolioe station at Timaru, and Constable Pardy went out in a tari-eab and took tli* victim to the Tiinuru Hospital.
