THE TIM AH U CLUB. Tli© twenty-fifth annual general mooting of tho Tiniaru Howling Club, held in the pavilion last evening, was wetter attouded than any previous mating of the club, there being iifty members present, Mi* R. H. FerguBon (president) occupied tho chair. Tiio annual report and balance sheet (alroady published) were taken as read. Tho secretary added that tho excess of assets over liabilities was £746 2s. # The presidont, in moving their adoption, said he was greatly pleased to boo bo many bowlers present, which showed tho very lively interest taken in the club. It was tho first meeting ifl tho club's new pavilion, and augured well for the coming Reason. Ho congratulated members on tho vory successful year just ended. Ho ijeeil Ray little about it, for tho report, well distributed among members, was a lengthy one, and put tho position very plainly. Tho club was progressing wonderfully. The membership now stood at 111, which, considering tho fact that a number of resignations had. 1 bik?n handed in, mostly through muni-, ; hers leaving tho district, was oxceedsatisfactory. Tho club matches uurmg the year had bocil-particularly well and tho cliifc was vory successful at the Oamnru tourney. In conclusion, Mr ! Ferguson thanked for the many kindnesses shown him during tho year. Mr "W. Evans seconded the motion, striting that every member must ho satisfied with tho success of tho season in every way. To him it was a source of special pride that ho noted its great success, for thirty years ago he and six others started tho club, and had not contemplated such an overwhelming and rapid growth. Mr Evans apologised for tho absence of Mr George Gabites, another of tho club's pioneers.

Mr B. Orwin, secretary, called attention to the very handsome cup. presented by Mr jamcs 'Wilson, of AllnntJnle, which was on the tablo ; Practically the whole of the retirinc officers were ic-electod. and on tho motion of Messrs K.
