HUNTING

Ypetorday tlio moot was at Soadowu ?&fl\vay station. It was anticipated 1 that tho going would be very heavy-, owing to tlio recent rains, but it could uot nave been bettor, as it turned out, but a hard host made the take-off on tho shady sido of gorse fonccs very treacherous. It was a lovely afternoon, but a disappointing one from a hunting point of- view. Tha first hare, found on Mrs Ftzgerald's land, crossed Mrs Sullivan'* and tho railway lino on to Mrs Hedloy's land, eventually to be lost after a short run on Mr Gilliatt's farm. Mr Bellett's, Mr John Fitzgerald's, and Mr John Lynch'a paddocks were all drawn Eventually a weak hare found on Mr William Lyrich's land was killed on Mrs Hedley's farm affcor a short run of two miles. During the afternoon one of tho field, who was .very suddenly taken ill, was very kindly taken care of by Mrs William Lynch, until he was well enough to be takes to Tim am.
