Last night the annual reunion of the Society was held when members and a number of visitors, judges, and other officials, sat down "to a goc*i dinner in tho Arcade Cafe. This over, along toast list was gone through, proceedings throughout being oi a aio&b thusiaslic character. "Tho King and tbe Fancy " waa th» first toast, and after this had b&eu honoured, the chairman proposed "The Judges" making complimentary reference to tihe way they had got through their work. Replying to the toast of 44 Tj© Judges/' Mr Palmer said that tho show this year marked a vast improvement on some other shows at witch h 9 judged. He referred both to tho staging and the quality of the exhibits. The show of Indian Runner ducks this year was the best ever seen in Timaru. The arrangements for the show wcio excellent, a«nd much cred-.t was due to the secretary and tho other officials. (Applause.) Mr Condon also replied,, malting appreciative references to tho show generally.

Mr F. C. AVaUon proposed tlie "Successful Exhibitors," doing so in a characteristically humorous speech. Mr Wat*x>n also pr-asente<l "n handsome gold brooch to the President., for his wife, Mrs Burns having gained mos*. points in the class f.r ladies. (Applause.) A further announcement was made that Mr R. R. liandle had promised gold medal for coinimitidn at next sno\r. i (Applause.) Messrs • Walker (Clir.'stckurch) and White (Dunedin) replied to the toast of ' Succes-ful E;•:hjbl■tors,• , ' , both thanking the company for the cordial way in wh.cii the toast had buen received, 4ind congratulating the Society on the excellence of the show. Mr Walker remarked that the Wyand'ottes in ti» show would be a credit ia any 6liovr in. England, and lie was pleased to eea such a very tine collection of ep.mgied Hamburgh. Mr "Wh.te referred to the courtesy of the officials and eaid the ahow was one of the best conducted lie had ever attended.

Mr Lillico proposed "Unsuccessful Exhibitors/' and Mr P. Carol in (Dunedin) responded, introducing in hi* speech a strong vein of Irish wit which caused much merriment. Mr Giose also replied.

The .Secretary and Treasurer were next, paid a complement, Air and Mr J. Thomson replying. Both were warmly complimented on the w:iy they had theii- resm.'ctir« duties-.
