PRESENTATION AT CAVE
TO MR AND MRS T. D. ROBERTSON. Ss. j It was a,delightful.informal gathering of friends tliat- assembled 011 -Monday evening Jast at Mi and Mrs T. 1). Robertson's homestead, Dalnaglai;, Cave, to make a presentation and bid them good-bye. '±h.e Rev. Peter Wilson presided, and in a very happy speech emphasised Mr Robertson's k many good qualities and his self-deny-ing -efforts in the building up of the j Albury Presbyterian parish. He spoke of Mr Robert-son as being cosmopolitan I in sympathies, making no distinction j as to creed or degree wherever help I was needed- lor the public good was concerned. And mention was mada of ■ Mr? Robertson's kindl}- unostentatious hospitality. ,He than presented Mr Robertson with a handsome English .vaddl-3 and bridle, and Mrs Robertson with a silver-mounted dressing case, remarking that it was a mission j)f pleasure for those who gathered the subscriptions, so much alacrity and hearty goodwill was shown by the givers. The chairman's remarks were endorsed and amplified bv Messrs Shepherd, Smith, Gray, Stonver and Burnett each and all anecdoting Mr and Mrs Robertson's kind deed's and sacrifices for church and district, one speaker saying that few had any idea of the extent oi Robertson's kind actions. Mr Robertson feelingly replied, and thanked on# and all for the kind sentiments they had expressed and for their very useful presents. Songs V-oro liirea fcy the Rev. Mr jJsson <ind 51 r AV Gray, and a recito-i-ation by Mr J. talker, and after'a yen provided supper had been justice to, all joined in singing "Auid Long Syfae." The. Robertson family, who have required a sheep, run ud .the R-aknin, carry with tJiem the Cave <list* <?•/> wishes for success in their new home.
