Miss Leggott's father responded on her behalf. - Yesterday afternoon Mr Hugh J Ward, Miss Grace Palotta, and the members of Mr Ward's Company, were tendered a public- reception at the Town Hall by the citizens of Wellington, 111 recognition, of their services m helping the Children's Hospital Fund last year. The Mayor presided over a gathering at which'there were about SOCO persons present. Mr Ward was presented with an illuminated addressand Mr Ward and Miss Palotta each received a souvenir tablet bearing . a sketch <if the new hospital in silver, and eacli member of the company was presented with a photograph of the address to Mr Ward, which is surrounded by photographs of members of the comnany. The proceedings were very enthusiastic.
