BLUFF OYSTER TRADE.
SPECIAL TRUCKS NEEDED. Per Press Association. INVERCARGILL, March 22. in regard to northern complaints regarding tho condit on of Bluff oysters, a "kouihland Times" reporter to-day interviewed the district railway traffic Manager, who said that tho trouble was the abnormal spell of hot weather. Iho train arrangements wero identical with those of former years, regarding which no complaints were lienrd. He maintained that tho insulated wagons asked for by oyster merchants were entirely unsuitable for the conveyance of oysters, because the vans tro airtight. He advocated H wagonsbetter known as cattle trucks—beca zso, being partially open at the sides, tl.oy would allow air to play over tho oysters, or better still a special that would rejiel the sun's heat :md still allow a current of air. The "Soutlniand Times" is convinced that now that prominence has been given to tho matter, stops will be taken to deal with any future trouble.
