CLANDEBOYE NOTES.
(From Our Own Correspondent.)
We are certain now of the telephone, as the Department has the poles laid almost to the school. Our next want from that department will be a daily mail, and the bulk of mails handled here should be sufficient to warrant it.
The weather is not conducive to stook threshing, as light showers have been the order of the day since last Thursday. Most of the crops are now cut, and with fine "weather the harvest would.soon be over. The school re-opens on Monday 6th inst., after six weeks holidays. A new drain is being cut through tihe playground and if properly done it should do immense good. The local creamery : s kept running very busily. Two new suppliers were added to the number for this month. The average test is 4.0 at present, and some big cheques should be drawn for butter-fat this month. Last month some £650 was paid away for milk to suppliers.
