Revenue from donations from gentlemen interested in the Band had fallen away considerably, and it was l-.opcd an improvement in this rosi>ect would show in the incoming year. The revenue from engagements for the year was £4l. Tho Band had succeeded in securing a subsidy from the Hotungh Council, and it was hoped tliat the Cuunty Council would grant a similar subsidy. Attendance tit practices had shown an improvement lately and as municipal concerts are to bn given it was most desirable that members should do credit to the Band by attending every practice and thus adding to the Band's efficiency. The reoort and balance-sheet were adopted. Officers and committees wero elected, including: Patrons, Messrs N. Francis and E. C. Studholme; President. Air J. Black; Conductor,' Mr W. J Wills; Bandmaster, Mr A. Keen; and Secretary, Mr Ormnnhy. Honoraria of £3 3s to the secretary and £1 l> to the custodians woro pawed. Messrs F. Palmer, J. King and A. Inkster were elected members. Thanks were accorded tho auditors, to Bandsman Child.s, and to Mr G. S. Meredith and the Band Committee for their enthusiastic raising of funds for the erection of a bandroom.
