The number of Federal Bank notea issued to date is 1,550,876, and their value £3,756,691. Owing to the failure of the Helmadalo fisheries the Duke of Sutherland is reopening the gold diggings at KiL donan. It is understood that tho Swiss Government intends to authorise cities possessing freezing facilities under State control to import frozen meat, but a permanent permit to import will not be granted at present.
