The North Canterbury Motor Cycle Club's Reliability Trial, which, took place during Christmas week over tho JDunedin-Christeliurcli route, provided a thorough and severe test for the various makes of machines competing. The result of the trial was to demonstrate the superiority in every point of Triumph 3i-h.p. machine.. In the first place it obtained first award in tho Private Owner Class, showing that it does not require professional handling in order to score well in trials. Mr S. F. Barnett's Triumph won for him the Triumph Challenge Cup, the first prize awarded by the Club, and a special prize. Better tha»: all this, the machine made tho highest aggregate of mark? of any machine in the- trial, scoring 990 out of a possible 1000, and beating, in the matter of reliability and petrol economy every other competitor. When a private owner attains a result like that, you've pot to admit that he must have had the Tx?st machine in the bimch.
