LODGE MEETINGS.

The quarterly meeting of Court Southern Cross, N. 3123, A.0.F., was hold in their Hall on Wednesday evening, Bro. W. J. Hogg C,R. presiding over a largo attendance of nicm. ber s . The Woodwards roi>orted three brothers declared ou the sick list, and four declared off. The C.R. extended a cordial welcome to Bro. P. Grant, P.D.C.R., of Court Foresters Prido, Waimate, and Bro. O. Dickson P.C.R., and secretary of Court Waihao, Morven; and Bros. Grant and Dickson in return returned thanks for their w&* como and expressed a wish that Court Southern Cross would continue to prospel- iu the future. Bros. J. N. Jarvis, i P.D.C.R. and H. N. Hollow, P.D. C.E., who have just returned from a I holiday trip in the Old Land were welcomed back by the C.R. and Court members The report of the Committee appointed to consider points raised by the Quinquenial Report was received, and recommended to the District Court for adaption. The election of officers resulted as follows: —Auditors, Bros. H. N. Hollow oad Alf. Boys; •District Arbitration Committee, Bros. J. G. Broadhead and H. N. Hollow; Dispensary Delegates, Bros. R. Griffitlis, T. Graliam and J. R. Lack: Vigilance Committee, Bros. J. Burford, C. Vogeler and T. Harris; Juvenile Committee, Bros. J. Baker, H. Parfoot, H. Toneycliff, J. Hogg and J. N. Jarvis; Finance Committee, Bros. J. T. Ellis, W. H. Tubb, H. N. Hollow, A .J. Jones, R. Griffiths, W. M'erry, J. Burford and tho C.R. Accounts were passed for payment and tlie Conrif closed ot 11.30 p.m. in tha usual form. A meeting of tho Loyal Timaru "Juvenile Lodge of Oddfellows' waa held on Wednesday, a fair number of members being present. The secretary presented tlie balance sheet for the yar just olosed, which showed a very satisfactory state of affairs. Tho following officers were installed for the ensuing term:—G.M., Bro. H. Sutton; N.G., Bro. F. Davie; V.G., Bro. J. Davidson; warden, Bro. Coker; guardian, Bro. Potts; secretary Bro. Foden. It was announced that the free railway tickets for the forthcoming Friendly Societies excursion would be given out next Lodge night. The fortnightly meeting of the Juvenile A.O. Foresters was held on Wedi nesday. Bro. G. Freeme C.R. presiding. The Woodwards reported one brother on tlie sick list. One candidate was initiated as a member. The auditor's report and balance-sheet were read, showing tie Court to be in a sound position. . Three candidates were proposed . for membership and duly approved. A" summoned meeting of the Star of Canterbury Lodge, 1.0.0. F., was held on Wednesday, with a very good'attendaftce, the N.G., Bro. Fairbrothor presiding. The half yearly report. and balance sheet, which was adopted as read, showed the Lodge to have made satisfactory progress. The installation of officers was impressively performed by D.D.G.M. Bro. C. J. Talbot, the following brothers being installed— W. J. Watlrins, N.G.; R. A. Rodgers, V.G.; W. G. Cooper, treas.; C. G. Rogers, secretary; D Mills, warden; G. Shelley, conductor; A. A. Smith, I.G. The vote for the election of two representatives for the. South Canterbury District at 'Grand Lodge session was : taken, the candidates being Brothers I Greig, Hodges, Pye and Talbpt. An illuminated address was presented by D.D.G.M. Bro. Talbot, on behalf of tha officers and brothers of the Star of Canterbury No. 10 and Gladstone No. 38 Lodges, to P.D.D.G.M. Bro. Bonn as a slight recognition of his long and valuable services for the good of the order, not only in his own lodge (Star of .Canterbury), but. as D.D.G.M; for South" Canterbury, and also as representative for South Canterbury at Grand Lodge sessions for very, many years.' The address ended with a wish that Bro.
