DUNEDIN, Jan. 5 At Burnsido to-day, 182 cattle were yarded, consisting principally of g'>cd quality bullocks and heifers. prices showed a decline of about 15s ;>ir riad. Best bullocks sold up to £l3; good £9 15s to £ll, medium £8 10s to -i.9 10s, best heifers to £8 10s, good £7 to £B, medium £6 to £C 15s. Fiit Sheep.—ll4s wero penned, a small yarding, and as butchers had only small supplies on hand vuices advanced considerably, wethers lemg 2s per head dearor and good €wes t'om 2s to 2s (id. Prime wethers 50s to 22s Gd, medium 17s to 19s, light 16s to 17s Gd, prime owes 18s to 21s od, n edium Ms to 17s, light 12s to 13s td. Fat Lambs.—2B4 were penned. Although tho yarding was small it was equal to butchers' requirements. PiJces were firmer at tho commencement, lut afterwards receded to last week's rates. Prime 15s to 15s fed, extra to 17s 3d, medium 13s to 14s Gd, l.'ght lis 3d to 12s. Pigs.—l2o wero penned, including a good yarding of young pigs. Tne best of these sold at about last week's rates, but small and inferior soits woro slow of sale. Porkers f.i/d baconers met with a brisk sale. Good suckers 6s to 9s, slips 10s to 14 s, stores 16s to 25s 6d, porkers 30s to 355, light baconers 36s to 3Ss, kervy do. 40s to 48s, choppers 50s. The value of the gold and siver shipped from New ZeaWid for the year 1910 was £1,896,318 and £171,562, as against £2,000,900 and MSO,B/'2 lor 1909, decreases of £110,582 and '£9310 respectively.
