It bad at first been intended to have some Und of function at the bore todav but this has been deferred, for while- as tho directors have mvaed delegates to tho Thames Conference of Australasian Mining Engineers to visit the field at the end of this month, and if thov accept, tho directors will endevour to arrange for a gathering of tho Dominion's newspaper editors at the same time. . . . Tho wells aro now being visited i>y hundreds of people, and these include larg? numbers from outside, who ore astounded at the results achieved. That there is oil at" Moturoa is now proved, and in commercially payable quantities. The policy of the directors in throwing open the property to visitors is having a good effect, and the fact that the oil has flowed for twelve months is very pleasing and nniqne.
